This project involves the planning and development of a prominent commercial site on South Pine Road, Everton Park, focused on consolidating two adjoining buildings to enable expanded and intensified use.
With a long-established history of indoor sport and recreation, the project builds on the site’s existing character while working through contemporary planning and regulatory requirements. The proposal seeks to optimise the site’s potential for retail, food and indoor recreation uses, balancing commercial outcomes with practical considerations such as gross floor area and car parking provisions.
The development has required detailed coordination with Brisbane City Council and state agencies, including formal referrals, information responses and the refinement of design and operational outcomes to meet approval conditions.
Designed by Mercury Design, the project demonstrates a strategic and collaborative planning approach to a complex commercial approval, delivering a solution that maximises site utilisation while navigating a multi-layered regulatory environment.
