Approved | New Dwelling – Brisbane
JREY® trading as Urban Planners Queensland has secured development approval from Brisbane City Council for the construction of a new double-storey dwelling on a site affected by the Waterway Corridor Overlay under Brisbane City Plan 2014.
The approval allows for the demolition and removal of the existing dwelling and its replacement with a new, contemporary residence. The proposed design was carefully assessed to ensure appropriate siting, built form and environmental outcomes in response to the site’s proximity to the waterway corridor.
The development application was assessed against the relevant provisions of Brisbane City Plan 2014 and was found to comply with the required performance and acceptable outcomes, including the Low Density Residential Zone Code, Dwelling House Code, Holland Park–Tarragindi District Neighbourhood Plan Code, and the Waterway Corridor Overlay Code.
This approval reflects a considered planning approach to residential development on constrained sites, balancing design outcomes with environmental protection requirements.
