Approved | Character Dwelling – Auchenflower
JREY (trading at the time as Urban Planners Queensland) secured development approval from Brisbane City Council for a new dwelling located within the Traditional Building Character Overlay under Brisbane City Plan 2014.
The project was developed by STEER and has since been completed as ANNA, Auchenflower. The approved design delivers a contemporary dwelling outcome while responding sensitively to the character controls and established streetscape.
The development application underwent a rigorous assessment process and was approved in accordance with the relevant planning controls, including the Character Residential Zone Code, Dwelling House (Small Lot) Code, Traditional Building Character (Design) Code, and the Ithaca District Neighbourhood Plan.
This project demonstrates a successful planning outcome within a highly constrained character precinct, balancing design quality with statutory compliance.
