Approved | Industrial Development
JREY, trading as Urban Planners Queensland, has successfully secured development approval for an industrial project for WAC Group in Hemmant, Brisbane.
The approval allows for low-impact industry and warehouse uses across a two-stage development, comprising the construction of nine purpose-designed industrial units. Each unit has been planned to support the operational needs of modern businesses, offering flexible, functional spaces suitable for a range of industrial and commercial activities.
The project was progressed through a coordinated planning process to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements while supporting efficient land use and economic activity within the precinct.
The development application was assessed under Brisbane City Plan 2014, including compliance with the Industry Investigation Zone Code, Industry Code, Infrastructure Design Code, Transport, Access, Parking and Servicing Code, and relevant environmental and overlay provisions, including flood and coastal hazard considerations and the Hemmant–Lytton Neighbourhood Plan.
This approval reflects a strategic approach to industrial development, balancing operational functionality with planning controls and site-specific constraints.
